Chris WebbCoaching Director

Chris has been the director of GAIN Swimming since 2018. Chris coached at the University of Pittsburgh, TEAM Pittsburgh, Carmel Swim Club, Carmel High School, SwimMAC Carolina, Fort Collins, and T2.

Ryan CastroPerformance Director

Ryanhas a background in Art and Conceptual Design. Ryan grew up drawing, painting, and creating. His passion and creativity help bring any vision to life! Ryan was a lifetime athlete excelling in water polo and swimming in college.Ryan is a master performance coach with time spent with EXOS the worlds largest provider of strength and conditioning, GENESIS, and has been a personal trainer for years. Before launching PROTO he became the Director of performance at the USAPA.

Karl StewertOwner - Coach

Karl started swimming competitively at the age of eight. He continued to swim and play water polo through high school and college. Karl continues to train and compete in masters swimming, where has been a National Champion. Karl started coaching both swimming and water polo in the early 1990s with some of the most respected teams and coaches in Southern California. Karl has been teaching dryland with the GAIN Swimming method since 2018 under the guidance of GAIN Swimming Director Chris Webb.

Maggie ThompsonOwner - Coach

Maggie is the owner and founder of Refuge Physiotherapy. She was born and raised in Tupelo, MS. She attended the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) where she earned her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science and played on the women’s basketball team. Maggie completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She then completed a post-doctorate Manual Orthopedic Physical Therapy Fellowship program through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy (AAMT) in Oklahoma City, OK. She is now a Fellow of the American Academy of Manual Physical Therapy.

What should I wear to the clinic?

Wear comfortable workout clothes and athletic shoes that are appropriate for the activities you will be doing during the clinic. In the water and out of the water.

Do I need to bring any equipment to the clinic?

Bring your suit, goggles, cap (if you wear one),  your towel, and your water bottle (water and snack provided).

Is the clinic suitable for beginners?

Heck yeah!  We pride ourselves on meeting you where you are!  If you can make it a couple lengths of the pool you are good to go!

What kind of exercises will be included in the clinic?

There will be land based injury prevention exercises and water based swimming drills.  They will be easy to remember and take home with you.

Will there be any nutritional guidance provided at the fitness seminar?

At this clinic nutrition will not be our focus, however we will talk about it freely.

Can I ask questions during the fitness seminar?

Absolutely! Most of our clinics include time for questions and answers, so feel free to ask any questions you may have about the exercises, techniques, or anything else related to fitness.

Can I attend the fitness seminar if I'm pregnant?

Yes!
